We're excited to be teaming up with our friends at Four Square Restaurant for a pair of summer wine dinners. The first one will be a dinner focusing on the amazing wines of Alsace, France. The wines of Alsace are amongst the most aromatic in the world, and also some of the most food driven wines made. These are wines that wine geeks and wine professionals often swoon over, but don't always translate to the everyday wine drinker. Chef Shane Ingram's food paired with some of the best examples of Alsatian wines we can find will help show the power and beauty of these wines to even the most novice oenophile. We're just in the early planning stages, so check back here for more information on pricing and the selections coming soon!

Local Tomatoes Summer Celebration

Our Friends at Primal Food and Spirits have found an awesome way to indulge in the bounty of summer produce. They are hosting a dinner featuring awesome local grown tomatoes in every course, from appetizer to dessert. With all the great produce we see in North Carolina over the summer months, the fresh, juicy, luscious tomatoes grown in our area are some of the favorites on local menus. Throw in some good protein cooked in Primal's wood fired oven, and some of our favorite summer wines selected by yours truly, and this should be an awesome way to spend a midsummer's eve. I got the menu this week, and am actively working on decisions for the wine pairings!

1st Course
Tomato Bisque, Baby Lettuce, Basil Vinaigrette, Crisp Prosciutto, Cheddar Croutons

2nd Course
Fried Green Tomatoes, Smoked Pimento Cheese, BBQ Harker's Island Oysters, Mignonette Aioli

3rd Course
Tomato Powder & Oregano Spiced Grilled Lamb Loin Chops, Roasted Tomato & Bacon Risotto, Fresh Heirloom Tomatoes, Sautéed Haricot Verts
